On October 14, 2008, Canadians re-elected the Conservative Party of Canada. The opposition parties now want to topple the duly elected Government, without even giving it a chance to govern under its current mandate. This course of action, while technically legal under the Constitution, clearly undermines the will of the people. In effect, it amounts to a coup d'état. We the undersigned oppose these actions and ask Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, to reject the proposal for a coalition. En tant que citoyens canadiens, nous ne pouvons accepter ces gestes. Nous, sousignés, nous opposons à ces gestes et demandons à Son Excellence la très honorable Michaëlle Jean, gouverneure générale du Canada, de rejeter la proposition d'un gouvernement en coalition.
