There is a HUGE difference between loving all people with the Love of Christ, versus encouraging behavior that Christ spoke against. He should NOT be depicted as gay; nor should His disciples. If we believe that He is the Word of God (John 1:1), that means that all of scripture (Old and New Testament) is HIS Word! If one thoroughly studies ALL of scripture, it is undeniable that He is not/was not, nor ever will be, homosexual. Yet, I quickly come to the defense of ANY human being who would be abused, ill-treated, and stripped of their dignity as a human being. Jesus says to deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Him. Don't follow yourselves and your warped sense of who you think Jesus 'ought' to be. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He was not gay and He was not fully human, He was the Holy Spirit incarnate. No matter how much any human wants to change Jesus, you cannot. Truth will set all free. We have to love and respect one another with the love God has loved us. The movie is disrespectful to Catholic values and is historically inaccurate. The movie should be banned. However I pray for a peaceful protest according to the Catholic values Jesus Himself thought us.
