We urge the Polk County Board of Supervisors to not change the zoning of 5251 NE 94th Ave, Bondurant, Iowa from Agricultural to Mixed Use. Stay with the designated agricultural zoning that professional plan staff recommends and the follow the direction of the Planning and Zoning Commission that denied the change from agricultural to mixed use.

Further, we ask that after the over $100,000 process of the 2050 Polk County Comprehensive plan in which Confluence Consulting was engaged and over 30 meetings were held among citizens, businesses, selected property owners, other stake holders and staff that this area was designated to remain agricultural that you stay with that designation. The plan was only voted on in August 2022 and to change it now is not needed as the proposed change only benefits the non-profit and not the citizens of the immediate area or all of Polk County.
