Animal abuse is heartbreaking. It is especially depressing when youth are taught to hurt animals, or are taught that the have the POWER to hurt animals. The youth need to be taught compassion. Animals are loving! I hope this abuse stops, and this petition gets more signatures.

This is so wrong. While I realize that that it's natural for snakes to eat rats, that in no way makes it ok to treat them like that. Nothing deserves to be treated like that. Also, children should not be in charge of that, nor should this be encouraged.

Disgusting! I'm appalled & disturbed. NO animal should be treated this way. Our society has lost sooo much empathy, it's very upsetting. Sometimes, I'm really ashamed to be human. Rats are sentient beings - they can suffer more than just physically. This has to stop!

Rats are Not Vermins.
They are Sweet, Tame animals.
Just give Rats a Chance..
You Poison them, But what if they Poisoned you?
They chew Clothes and Plastic.. Yes..
But, You get Bored too.. Wild Rats don't have Toys and Cages..
..People need to Understand that Rats are like Humans..
People have "Owners" as in Their Parents..
Rats need Owners to take Care of them, or They will take Care of themselves..
And you have to Accept that Rats have lives too. ♥
