So in the state of Montana they are now trying to pass a law to ban the ownership and breeding of Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, American pit bull terriers, American bull dogs, or any dog that has the physical characteristics that substantially conform to the standards established for the breeds listed. If your dog is registered before this law is passed you must show proof that the dog has been neutered or spayed and when in public you must keep you dog muzzled at all times. All other dogs falling under this list or suspected of having some of these breeds in their blood line will be put to sleep. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. Please if any one out there would take the time to write their stories and testimonies regarding any of these breeds so that others will see that not all of them are bad dogs...most of them are not bad dogs. That bad dogs come from bad owners. Some people won't listen. Others will. This is something that needs to be fought for. If it doesn't stop soon, it is possible that this breed will die out. STOP THE FEAR AND SPEAK OUT. We need everyone we can get, not just for Montana, but all the other states that are just as likely to be facing this issue in the future.
