I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of these bureaucrats telling us what we can do with our own homes. My mailbox is full of stories about how these restrictions are hurting our families and our neighbors. I am spending my time digging into their meeting minutes to figure out how they think they can get away with this.

The momentum behind this effort is growing and it shows just how many of us are tired of being told how to use our own property. It is clear that our neighbors value freedom over unnecessary rules imposed by people who have forgotten their role as public servants.

DEMONrats Insist on telling everyone what and how you are allowed to use and do with your self your property your words even your thoughts. You bought it , do what you want with it as long as it's not a NUCLEAR contaminated site. Oh that's right. You can have a nuclear disposal site in the United States. LOL Look at my post No Trespassing sign
There are very few lodging options for travelers in Leelanau. Homeowners should be free to rent their homes as they please. This is ridiculous and will effect all small businesses as well!

Vacation rentals fill an accommodation void in Leelanau County. They make it more possible for guests to visit our beautiful area, shop our stores, visit our wineries, and eat at our restaurants. It is however critical that guests respect our pastoral landscape. A balance can be reached.
