For several years Peter Purves has been commissioned to give live commentary on dog sport events at Crufts. Despite many years experience he continually makes sweeping inaccurate statements, gives false information and generally does a poor job which detracts from the enjoyment of watching the dogs. To have a dog qualify for such an important event is an honour and Peter's comments are often patronising and add nothing to the prestige of such an event. The live commentary should be given by the ring master who is knowledgeable in the specific discipline and Peter Purves should not be given this role again.
