This petition is intended for the lawmakers of the state of Florida. The citizens of the state of Florida demand mandatory jail time for child molestation. We have all seen how this crime is repeated by the same offenders again and again. How many children\'s lives are we willing to give to the child molester I say NO MORE! First time drug offenders can recieve a mandatory prison sentence, do not these predators of children need to be removed from our communities Please sign this petition and it will be forwarded to our lawmakers and governor, together we can change the law and prevent repeat offenders from preying on our children. Just this week (3/17/05) a predator tried to grab a ten year old girl at Mendenhall elementary school about a block from my home. I began to think that this could have been one of my granddaughters and it all began to hit me in a very tender place (my heart). Realize that the next child could be your child or grandchild. It can happen to YOU! Let\'s get together and become strong in our numbers and we can change Florida law.
