You cannot condemn a whole because of the actions of a few.All dogs will attack and bite. They need to be judged on a case by case basis.Other states have tried BSL and it does not work. Many gentle sweet dogs have been killed by fear.Needs to stop!

BSL is NOT the answer. The irresponsible owners ARE the problem!!!

Kelli Campbell

Ridiculous and ignorant

Its not the breeds its the pos owners. To ban a specific breed is cruel, some of the dogs are loyal, loving family members and to have them taken away is so wrong

Elizabeth Neff

My American Pit Bull Terrier is the sweetest dog I have ever owned, and that includes labs. She loves all dogs and people she meets. This is a terrible idea to ban these dogs. They are loving., funny and great characters. Please do not pass this law.

Its not the breed its the owners. Do not let good dogs and good dog owners suffer for the bad.

Cassandra Cappuccio

There's no such thing as an aggressive dog, only a reflection of how the owner treats and raises them

Breed specific legislation is legalized discrimination. This is no better than branding a a nationality of humans; examples- Irish people are drunks, Mexican people are lazy. We all know such generalization is untrue.

I own 2 very loving and loyal pittbuls. I have seizures and if it wasn't for these 2 dogs I'm might not be alive today. They are my guardian angels not monsters.

Please consider the neglectful owners and how that leads to gentle dogs becoming dangerous because of the treatment they receive such as being tied outside continuously, malnourishment and lack of human interaction. Let's educate the dog owners instead of banning a specific dog breed based on an incident caused by the neglectful dog owners.

This is so reactive. A recent study from hospitals and ERs showed that more people are bitten by Labradors than any other breed, pit bulls were behind several other breeds

This is wrong in so many ways! It's not always the dogs fault but they have to suffer the consequences of ignorant or evil owners! You obviously haven't looked any further into Pitbulls than the headlines!

this is ludicrous!!! why don't you pass a law that makes a 3rd degree felony for dog abuse and neglect!!! That's what makes a bad dog... and maybe this Texas attorney is an animal hater!!!! It sounds like a personal battle to me!!! Taking peoples family members (pets) is ridiculous!!!!! BSL laws are discrimination!!! They should be unconstitutional!!! Convict and ethanize the correct Breed (the animal abusers!!!!) shameful Law in the making!!!!!

Dogs are only as bad as the owners! Don't punish the dogs for irresponsible owners! Stop the Breed Specific bans!
