Forty-two biologists and botanists have signed a petition urging the governments of British Columbia and Canada to fully protect old growth forest across the range of the endangered mountain caribou. Unless logging of these forests stops, the species will disappear, the scientists warn. Most of these forests are in the Interior Wet Belt of British Columbia, which is inhabited by 98 percent of the worldâ

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing the momentum grow gives me a reason to keep fighting. We still have a long way to go before these forests are actually safe from the saws.

The respective old growth forests, the mountain caribou, and all the other living beings therein, are beautiful and important créations of GOD. As such, we must strive to help protect these priceless gems before it is too late.
