We, the undersigned, kindly request that an investigation be performed to evaluate the current policies and guidelines of the Broward County School Board with regards specifically to homework. We, the undersigned, as parents, feel that our children are suffering from homework overload. We, as parents, feel that our children are so overburdened with homework that they are begining to suffer from stress, obesity from limited physical activity, lack of sleep and other many important health concerns. There are many books, studies and reports which document how homework has a detrimental effect to our children, we feel a need for this issue to no longer be ignored and we demand that these findings be acted upon.
