They actually listened and the aid is officially being pulled which I honestly did not think would happen after all those long nights staring at my screen. I am sitting here shaking a little bit because this feels unreal but thank you for sticking with me even when things looked …

The Right Hon William Hague MP

Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Foreign and Commonwealth Office

 King Charles Street

 London

SW1A 2AH

Dear Rt. Hon William Hague MP

Genocide in Bahrain We are writing to express our strong condemnation of the current massacre being perpetrated against the Bahraini people by Bahraini and Saudi armed forces. As your constituents, We urge you to introduce and/orsupport legislation in the House of Commons that: Unequivocally and publicly condemn the barbaric actions of the Bahraini Government, call for the immediate suspension of western aid to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain until Saudi Arabia and UAE withdraw their troops from Bahrain, and until the Bahraini government withdraws all local and foreign troops, respects its people's rights to peacefully assemble and protest, and allows for free and fair elections in the country. Call for the immediate suspension and revaluation of all arms trade of western countries with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. On Wednesday March 16 2011, the Salmaniyah Hospital was seized by Bahraini security forces who raided the complex in search of wounded protesters, beating and threatening doctors and hospital staff, and finally encircled the hospital with tanks and militarypersonnel and have denied access to and exit from the hospital. As I type this email, the hospital is still surrounded by troops and a number of doctors as well as patients have been taken to undisclosed locations and their whereabouts remain unknown. The recent military seizure of the Salmaniyah Hospital in Manama is in clear violation of Protocol II, Articles 9, 10, 11, and 13 of the Geneva Convention. This is not a sectarian conflict but one involving different sectors of Bahraini soceity peacefully demanding their democratic rights. Furthermore, We are confident that you will make it clear that repression and state-sanctioned murder in Bahrain will not go unnoticed and urge you to call for an urgent withdrawal of Saudi Arabia and UAE troops from Bahrain. Your prompt action and response with regards to this urgent issue will be highly appreciated. Yours Sincerely,

I really thought this might just disappear into the ether but seeing how many of you stepped up makes me feel like maybe someone is finally paying attention to what is happening at that hospital. It is just constant noise out there and honestly hard to hold onto hope sometimes yet here we are pushing back against the silence because the truth about these troops needs to be impossible to ignore.

The hospital raids are just sick. No government should treat their own people like that.
