Female Genital Mutilation is a cultural procedure that is performed in in many African, South American, Middle Eastern and Asian countries. This procedure inflicts pain to females by partially or fully removing the external female genitalia, to increase femininity in females. This procedure is normally performed using unsterilized equipment, increasing the risk of health problems, like infection. By performing this procedure, it violates females human rights by exposing them to cruel and inhuman torture and degrading treatment. Many countries like Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Sweden have made female genital mutilation illegal. Lets help put a stop to this inhuman and degrading treatment of females in African, South American, Middle Eastern and Asian countries by making society aware of the issue of female genital mutilation.
