I have been a victim of Domestic Violence in 2 seperate relationships, and have been let down on many occassions by the justice system in the UK. The current guidelines for convicting abusers are very subjective,which often leads to no further action, or a light handed conviction. If I get enough signatures, the government has to give us time to put across our ideas in order to get the law surrounding domestic abuse, and the guidelines followed by the Crown Prosecution Service altered in view to having appropriate punishments in place.
