Ban The Leaf Blowers in Las Vegas, Green Valley & Summerlin

we need to pass this ban. they have polluted and killed all the fish in my koi pond.. and blowing dust across the whole yard. have to bring babies inside.

+1 for Anthem. The landscapers have such a racket. They don't pick up leaves; they merely move them from one property into the next adjacent yard. It's litter.. and it shouldn't be allowed. If they want to vacuum the leaves (quietly?) into a bag, that's fine. If they want to rake and manually collect the leaves into a bag, that's wonderful. But the situation as it currently stands is entirely unreasonable: the equipment is very loud, the work commences in the early morning while many are still sleeping (ex: it started this Saturday morning at 7:30am), and it pushes litter onto otherwise well-manicured yards. Something needs to change!

I totally agree. We must stop that. On Saturday morning 6:30 in front of my house. These "operators" don't care. The solutions are: 1- Petition like this one 2-Information of all our neighbors who are hiring these people. Just talk about health issues and dogs. 3- Everyone should tell these "operators" they will stop paying them unless they use battery powered leaf blowers. And please share this essential petition on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

We live in the Tides Community off Spring Mt. The local workers use that dam leaf blower 5 days a week for 5-7 hours a day.

A Leaf Blower started up today @ 06:45 AM! Ran non-stop for almost an hour!

The noise is intolerable... I am also a swing shift worker.

I am a swing shift worker and sleep during the day. The noise level of these devices is detrimental to my health due to loss of sleep and damage to my hearing. I wear ear plugs and still the noise level of these leaf blowers is intolerable. This must violate the noise ordinances of our neighborhoods at the very least. It must stop.

I agree. We have residents here with lung issues. Two days a week, leaf blowers are at work on either side of my back yard.
