A disturbing story on Sixty Minutes ON 21 March 2010 has caught the attention of many concerned Australians concerning the pesticides Endosulfan and Carbendazim and others being used on a macadamia farm in QLD which in turn seems to be effecting the life on a neighbouring farm, including fish, horses, domestic animals and the farmer herself. I am absolutely horrified a fungicide such as this is available in Australia, especially when the story also showed the effects it has had on humans in parts of India and other countries, where it is now not legal. This needs to end, chemicals such as these should not be used in countries such as Australia where we are too educated and informed, we are not Third world. It is disgusting that the government is aware of these chemicals being used and not doing anything to stop it. We would like to know how we can stop the use of these poisons, which we as consumers may be affected by as well as farmers and there livelihood and if can use an alternative to this horrible chemical . STOP THE POISONING OF LIFE!
