Child support is a big issue in this country. The laws for the parents who do not pay are too relaxed. There are too many loop holes for the parents who do not want to support the children they helped to bring into this world. It is not fair that the custodial parent has to go without and their children have to go without because of a few glitches in the legal system. I myself am a single mother. I have always gone without necessities in order to make sure that my children have everything they need. This does not bother me in the least it is when my children have to go without that makes infuriated!! I have been in the court system for over a year trying to have him forced to pay or punished for not paying. He has managed to get out of it everytime. Meanwhile I have gone without payments for eight out of twelve months this year and last year was not much different. My petition is for the laws to be reviewed and the loop holes that are in them to be put to an end and for the ones that are in place be enforced to their fullest extent. I will send this to every senator and govener in the country along with news stations until something is done!! Also the custodial parents should not have to wait months with no payments for their case to be heard. If not for my parents I would have lost everything I own over the last year meanwhile he buys what ever he wants and does what he pleases. I am angry with the justice system not only for myself but for others who have been put into this situation who do not have parents who can help them financially.
