I have been reading the comments and the pain caused by these headlines is felt by so many of us who remember the person behind the name. Seeing how much this hurts others confirms why I started this effort to demand a bit of basic human decency from the press.

Seeing this momentum grow has been truly overwhelming for those of us who have felt the weight of these disrespectful headlines for so long. It feels like people finally understand that there is a real person behind the name who deserves basic decency.
