This is a petition to forward to the Office Of Fair Trading to hope that something if finally done about Buy As You View and Finance Duraven Finance LTD both are based in Bridgend ,Wales .Buy As You View are charging customers extortionate interest charges for goods payable via a slot attatched to a television ,they pray on the vulnerable ,low income families ,single parents ,as this is often the only way they can get essential household items such as cookers ,washing machines etc . When you initially take out goods such as a television with this company interest as high as 40% sometimes higher is added on top ,then goods placed on a hire purchase agreement .Customers then have the opportunity to have other goods often with persuation off their employees and sales people who are under pressure from top management to sell ,and also earning commission on goods they sell . New goods with this company then gets put onto what is known as a modifying agreement where the balance off the previous goods are added to the new goods ,then interest charged on previous balance and new balance together ,which means that unless the customer pays the full balance outstanding the goods are never theirs ,even though they have already in theory paid off goods . Miss selling of warranty to customers where the extended warranty is being automatically added to goods without the customers knowledge ,or without being explained what its for ,how it works ,or if the customer had their own insurances . Customers who get into financial diffuculty are often subject to harrassment ,and even cases of bullying and threats by employees to get money .Household goods on agreements are removed by Buy As You View without court orders Many cases that have come to attention are of customers who have contacted Buy As You View ,even their chief Executive Graham Clarke who has failed to even acknowledge complaints off customers .Also their agreements and how they are set up needs changing and refinancing customers
