THOUSANDS of Young adults are dicing with death by taking the stimulant, also known as mephedrone. Several newpapers report that the synthetic drug is legally sold on the internet under names such as “M-CAT”, and “drone”, but is not subject to medical regulations because it is sold as plant fertiliser. Although a drug may be referred to as being legal, this does not mean it is safe or approved for use; simply that it has not been declared illegal. For example, of those that were banned last year, many common ‘legal highs’ were based on the drug GBL, BZP and Spice.

A close friend of mine was rushed into hospital - ICU, due to this drug, yes he decided to take this on his own accord but we could at least make the effort to try and stop this once and for all. Too many people are taking this drug without a care, not thinking of themselves or the people there effecting around them. They only realise once they or someone close to them have enjured a bad experience.

I don't want to sit back and see my friends and their family suffer.
