The Amazon Rainforest is being slowly slowly destroyed (not very slowly) by our selfishness. One example of how the Amazon Rainforest is being destroyed is because of agriculture. Cattle ranching covers 80% of the deforested Amazon and in the past ten years an area equal to Portugal, or 30% of Italy, has been destroyed. All of this isn't useful because after 2 or 3 years the soil looses its nutrients and becomes sterile and useless, so the farmers who had built their farm on that land have to go away and burn anoher part of forest. Help us with this petition to show that we care about the Lungs of the Earth and that we want to protect them. La Foresta Amazzonica sta venendo distrutta lentamente (non molto lentamente) a causa del nostro egoismo. Un esempio è l'agricoltura. L'80% della foresta Amazzonica è stata distrutta per via dei pascoli per le mucche, e negli ultimi 10 anni una superfice equivalente al Portogallo, o al 30% dell'Italia, è stata distrutta a causa di questo. Tutto questo non è molto utile perchè dop 2 o 3 anni la terra perde i suoi nutrienti e diventa sterile e inutile. Così i contadini devono lasciare la fattoria e la terra e vanno a bruciare un'altra parte di foresta. Aiutateci firmando questa petizione, mostrando che vi interessano i nostri polmoni verdi e che li voglimo proteggere.
