SOPA will cause nothing but sadness and despair as it robs fanfiction authors the ability to write harmless fanfics, we aren't even being paid for this. This is something we do for fun and because we REALLY like the series we make fanfics off of. Will you rob us fans the right to make something that allows us to be creative in a harmless way?

SOPA would affect fan communities greatly if it was passed, meaning many people who enjoy a topic would no longer be able to share their interest, thus making the song/book/film/television show they like less popular, impacting the popularity of the original work

Taking away the ability to write and share fanfictions and fanart is like restricting creativity and it's process. If it was strictly to illegally free movies, it may be different but if the shows are paid for through ads and the fanfictions are not claiming to be real material, there should be no problem.

that would be punishing people like me who just write/read Fanfiction and give credit for something somebody else is doing.

Banning fanfictions is banning creativity. Banning fan pages is silencing voices and banning opinions.

I think that what people are doing right now is not copyright they made their poster and songs and fanfiction and edits because they love it. For some people this is how they make friends and bond over something they love. You can't take a fan account away or take their are away. It's what some people look forward to each day. And on top of that what makes peop,d think this is copyright on a TV show they do not say this tv show is copyright you can not make edits or fanart. And also we do this because we love it. There is nothing bad about it and this is somebody's only way to have friends. Some people wake up go to work or school no body talks to them they go home tell about their day to their online friends tell them it was terrible tell them they want to kill theirselves and do you know who saves them the Internet friends if anything pass this bill and do something about bullying . Its much more important and the gover net should put their power into stopping bullying. Like if someone gets caught bullying someone take them to the police and they should be put in jail do you know why because if that person commits sucide it is most likely because of bullying! Stop sopa

Posting a picture of a movie character that you drew and getting hauled off to jail for 5 years? I don't think so.

This in my opinion is wrong. Because everything that SOPA stands for is what I do in life. Basically a fangirl. Whithout the things or friends on the internet I might as well just disappear.
