I believe that if done correctly CRT can be a positive thing. But my research as well as multiple CRT curriculum based items I have reviewed from NY, Arizona and others that are already utilizing aspects of this, give me great concern. Measuring "whiteness" was a big red flag for me. I'm all for teaching respect, love, inclusiveness and curriculum based on factual (good, bad and ugly) lessons. But I am concerned this curriculum is based on teaching levels of hate in some instances..and there is never room for hate to exist. Until CRT addresses and weeds out these items of concern, I can't support. If it addresses these items and teams them with some of the positives I have read about, such as involvement, social responsibility..then I can support. Bit this curriculum isn't there yet from what I have seen.

I am so glad that there is an outcry against this dangerous, divisive push which is promoting racism . The exact opposite of what it purports to be addressing. Children don't pick friends on the basis of skin color and it is very harmful to be creating a narrative based on a lie. There is not systemic racism in this country.
