Seems like Zillow will be profitting from the inevitable ads. It will be the Craigslist of home sales and the legal reprocussions will be tremendous leaving the consumer vulnerable.

Zillow is out of line devaluing professional Realtors. Our experience and expertise far outways technology used to assign values to real estate and more importantly the integrity we have as professionals to represent our clients in a fiduciary manner. Hold Zilliow accountable for its misrepresentation of values they are accessing as a "Zestimate" and their unscrupulous practices to "Act as a Realtor" of which they are Not!

Zillow is the bane of our existence with their faulty "zestimates". They should not be permitted to compete with licensed realtors for our business. And they are being sued by a lady in Chicago for devaluing her property that she is trying to sell. I agree that we should also petition our MLS board to stop enabling Zillow.

It seems that Zillow is slowly and steadily creating a monopoly on the real estate industry. Realtors have to pay to put their listings on MLS, which Zillow has always shared for free while charging agents for their own leads.
Zillow is a third party site constantly changing to show the public they can be a one-stop source for all of their real estate needs. With their latest offer they are giving the public an option to purchase a home for cash through their website without using a realtor. When will it stop?
Don't focus on the now. Don't be that frog in a boiling pot of water. The temperature is okay now, but where will it stop? ACT NOW!
Remember the carborator industry? It disappeared overnight. Right now we are HELPING Zillow with what they are doing. We are feeding them their resources for free, paying them for our own leads, and they are telling the public we aren't needed. We need to stop this!
Why should Realtors be charged to list a home only to feed it to Zillow for free, while they continue to make money off the backs of realtors as they slowly make the roles of realtors' positions obsolete to the public?

Zillow derives 70% of their income from agents that advertise on their portal. So we agents work hard and spend money to get listings and then they sell advertising back to us INSANE. Listings are the lifeblood for Zillow. If your local board MLS stops the data feed to Zillow, then they have nothing and you wont be forced to advertise on their site. They are OUR listings and we need to control the data. Otherwise, they will eventually put us out of business. Don't listen to what they say.
