I, the undersigned, request that the City of West University Place (City) City Council place a hold on zoning ordinances that may allow mid rise and/or high density development projects on residential and collector streets in the City, and develop protections to prevent such incongruous developments. Such projects should be located on major thoroughfares that have adequate capacity to handle additional traffic generated by these projects. I am especially opposed to the ordinance being considered by the City Council January 9, 2012, which allows 3 story commercial buildings and a parking garage in the Town Center which is across the street from West University Elementary School.
