If you look at the fish you'll see that Walmart abuses them.
They are kept in small containers, and they're natural vibrant scales are dull and saturated from very little to none at all space, and food. My friends and I wanted to make a petition to stop this. The more fish they sell the more fish die prematurely do to hard conditions. Other stores such as PetCo abuse their fish with small and crowded tanks filled with 3 - 10+ fish! Please consider signing this to stop Walmart from treating the fish poorly

I have been reading the comments about these fish and the level of neglect is truly exhausting. It feels like an uphill climb to get them to care about lives they only see as inventory. I am still here and I am not walking away from this.

Reaching this point has been physically draining but seeing so many people recognize the suffering of these animals keeps me going. It is clear that we are no longer fighting this battle alone.

Wal-Mart can hardly take care of their employees, let alone these fish. If the Walton family cannot take care of living things, then they should not have and sell said living things...it is that simple.
Every time I go to Walmart I see dead and diseased fish in the tanks. There are no workers around caring for them.
a supermarket should never sell animals, especially when they are neglected and mistreated (small containers, filthy water, no food). just stop it.
It is unethical to keep large numbers of fish in small sized tanks. There is inadequate room for the fish to swim. Many fish seem to be dying, while many other fish are dead in the tanks. It is unneccessary abuse. Fish are not objects but living organisms.
selling fish is cruel, most people are not educated properly and fish almost never die of old age, they are dying of improper care!
please stop selling fish. i rescued dying goldfish from Walmart

Many Walmarts have stopped selling fish, for very good reasons. Many managers and employees have expressed ignorance, and sometimes sadness, at the abuse of the fish, proving that Walmart does not provide adequate expertise, adn should not be selling fish.
