Stop waiving NCC's UDC requirement for bicycle parking. Update the UDC to APBP-compliant standards and enforce it.

Convenient bike parking and bike-safe roads will help us to keep fit and reduce carbon emissions.

Having secure bike parking is keeping up with the future of keeping our planet green, by encouraging more bikes.

An excellent plan that should continue.

don't waive bicycle parking requirements!! bicycle parking is inexpensive to install and provides benefit to those who cannot afford other modes of transportation or choose to ride a bike instead of driving or taking public transportation.

I ride for transportation a lot and I want these laws enforced.

We have some reasonable laws, but they need to be enforced. Too often the needs of cyclists are overlooked in a way that would never happen to motorists. Secure and appropriate bike parking is a critical element of using a bike for transportation. Please stop issuing waivers and make sure that before the certificate of occupancy is granted, the bike parking is installed.

There have been many establishments built w/o bike parking since this code was enacted 15 years ago. It appears whoever is signing the certificate of occupancy is either ignorant or just doesn't care.
