save our pool from closing. swimming is the only life skill you can learn that will save your life. my son completed swimming lessons here. unfortunately with threat of closure it doesnt look as if my daughter will get the same opportunity such a crying shame!!!

Do not shut this pool there is absolutely nothing to do as it is in the Afan Valley.

well there's not much left in our valley. Thank goodness we have good thoughtful people who are trying to keep this pool open. Perhaps one, just one of the people wanting to close Cymer pool could make some sort of TRUE statement about why! I was at the pool the day the meeting took place (i didn't realise the reason for the meeting until later). Did these people not see the 21 children leaving the pool? Come on councillors, fight for the people of the Afan Valley. We do pay our taxes etc and vote.

The Afan Valley has had it's assets stripped: first it's fuel, it's churches, bank, post office, shops, garage and even it's trees. This swimming pool is part of a community of five villages. It is used by the children, the elderly, after school, summer holidays and by a number of sport's clubs. We are constantly being told how important it is to use resources well in these hard economic times: so what about the most valuable resource of the valley! It's people need investment, not deprived further? C'mon NPT think about what impact this will have and don't just consider the pennies!!

NPTCBC have been guilty of neglecting the Afan Valley for years. To close the pool and other facilities in a region that already has some of the worst health stats in Europe is total madness.

We got very little in the valley as it is without taking away more things, taking away a regularly used pool is awful
