Stop using tax-payers' money on failed garden communities project

Enough of using my tax money on vanity projects by our inefficient and out of touch councillors.

Use our money as if it was your own and put it to good use

Our Councils must listen to common sense and stop spending OUR money on pursuing the GC madness.

Waste of money. The directors are not being held to account with a lack of independent board members, conflicts of interest with the political representatives and NECG’s shareholders are taking liberties with their constituents (our) money.

We need a better solution for housing. A brownfield first approach combining an integrated infrastructure plan.

Travelling around in Colchester is a nightmare. Queuing on A12 slip roads is a daily chore, Colchester Tollgate a no go zone at certain times. Stop wasting public money on trying to fit a pint into a half pint.

Save my money

This a complete waste of local residents council tax money. The Planning Inspector has found section 1 of the Local Plan unsound for many reasons and is very likely to again find it unsound after the Councils have resubmitted parts of it in March 2019. No further monies should be allocated to NEGC until the Local Plan is found acceptable by the Planning Inspector

I DO NOT want you to waste mine and other Essex taxpayers money on this unrealistic scheme.

Please be transparent. If there's no clear an for the houses then why is our money being diverted there

Stop wasting valuable resources

Local taxpayers money should be spent on vital public services, not indulging the personal desires and aspirations of a small number of councillors whose plans have already been declared "unsound" by a government inspector.

Can't believe the arrogance of these Councils and so-called NEGC Ltd. All refusing to accept their limitations in light of Inspector's letter, and spending our money like water. It has to STOP. Delusional doesn't even begin to describe their attitudes.

Time to draw breath and get your head out of the sand. NEGC should be wound up and normality return to our embittered little towns. We just need some common sense.

A waste of money

Please look at your current tax paying residents, the infrastructure in Colchester is already broken, it takes me an hour to get into work in Colchester, there is no public transport where I live, this is before the lunacy of thinking about adding more homes. Spend that money on something your current tax payers need now

If the communities actually contained afordable rent housing or indeed any housing afordable for locals and not just those moving out of London, i may have more support for the project. As it is, we will lose the essence of the countryside so that townies can live in bigger houses whilst still being able to commute to London to work and spend their money, and of course developers can make a mint!

Given the developments already completed around the Colchester area, and the "improvements" to roads etc I have absolutely no confidence in the plan from a myriad perspectives

This is the greatest threat wivenhoe faces in its history politician are not listening to residents and even the government inspector they are hel bent on destroying Colchester and we have to do something to save this from happeneing
