Please make Ocsa equal place . I have felt so much favoritism from security guard when I was in Ocsa. Some of them involved going off campus without getting in trouble.

hes gotta stop talking in general. and he drives his golf cart around and honks at us like he owns the place. he also yells at me to get out of buildings. maybe ocsa should just stop the damn construction that they should have finished 3 years ago. and also every time i go to the VAC he says its off limits? but other teachers let me go. just stop

I was getting dropped off at the blue containers and one of the cars pulled up to the front, stopped, and dropped their kid off. Heard marquis tell the kid to hustle, “you have legs, use them”. Genuinely so dehumanizing and confusing, in a school where acceptance and equality is prioritized.
Another time, my friends and i ate lunch inside of the annex near the basketball court (when the glass doors were JUST constructed) marquis stormed inside the building and was unreasonably rude towards us. he told us “what are you guys doing. get out. now”. in an incredibly disrespectful tone. a simple “you guys arent allowed to eat in here, please eat outside” would have been sufficient, yet he decided to use intimidation as a means to get his way. these situations have made me realize that when staff are disrespectful to students, it promotes a hostile and offensive environment on campus, and it makes students afraid to speak out, ironically in a school where standing up for yourself is encouraged. Reprimanding students for being ignorant of clear rules is one thing, but scolding them for not knowing something is another.
call us sensitive, but i and MANY others are tired of being yelled at and disrespected by staff and being told “thats just their personality”. disrespect has been so normalized within our own campus, in our own STAFF, the people we look up to. yet you wonder why everybody is so hateful. you push the “no place for hate” agenda and yet you are blind to what takes place at the root. you want students to stand up to whats right, but when we are intimidated by our very own staff to do so, how is it possible? we deserve to feel respected at school and it is not our responsibility to respect you just because youre older. respect is mutual. i will not stand by and be treated like an inconvenience, especially in a place where i HAVE to be. It doesnt make sense for staff to be rude when they’re paid to be here.

He yelled at me for going to my office hours in the VAC and didn’t believe me that I had office hours there so he followed me until I walked into class. Also, last year, he yelled at my mom and I because we were sitting outside and I was already pulled out of class and had permission to leave but my mom needed to sit because she walked all the way from our house to the school, but we couldn’t because of Marquis. I hate him.

Super rude and doesn’t listen at all when students (EVEN PARENTS) try to make a point. Has something against the Asian students at ocsa and treats them unfairly. There has been a lot of complaints about him treating students with no respect whatsoever even if they haven’t done anything
