I am not in favour of this, why not charge higher fees to people outside of Qualicum & parksville that use the pool

Nanoose is too far from Ravensong pool for it to be of reasonable use to our district. Aren't we trying to discourage unnecessary driving?

Do not decide to pay for something that I don't want(pool) . And we should not have to pay for it in our taxes!! Will not use it!

A fair solution would be to apply a surcharge to Nanoose Bay residents using the facility. The proposed solution is simply a tax grab.

Hard to believe the most current survey of usage is 8 years old. If you are serious of getting Area E pay anything towards this pool prove that we actually use it. Even the numbers quoted from 2015 show a shockingly unfair tax grab having area E. Fund 12% of the overall cost for less than 4% usage.
Taxation without representation! The only democratic way to move forward with this is to have a referendum within Area E to see if we wish to participate in funding Ravensong.

Living in Nanoose Bay, we have no intention of using this facility. We have our own. For those outside the electoral areas, charge them an individual usage fee if they choose to use Ravensong and do not live in the area already paying for this in THEIR taxes.

I do not support paying for a pool we will never use. We have our own pool with programs in the Fairwinds Community. Exclude all Fairwinds Community homes from this tax grab.
