Stop unfair compensation practices of the Union School District Board

USD - I can only comment on Alta Vista - The school continues to receive awards and accolades. This is largely due to the teachers. Just as in the corporate world, this excellent work should be rewarded. Do the right thing and reward the excellent performance of our teachers. Put their total compensation in line with those from nearby local award winning schools!

we love our teacher and value our children's education... without compensation our teachers cannot afford to work in these neighborhoods, school scores will fall and so will our home values...I beg you to look at the BIG picture

Please every year we as a community have passed to improve the school, limit class sizes, and make the school leaders in every way. It our teachers that make it all possible. They are not being compensated adiquately as compared to other districts. If we don't they they will have not incentive to stay. It's expensive to live and work in this area. We need to be fair and rational. We want to keep our teachers!

Alta vista teachers deserve more!!!

I'm a teacher and a parent in the district. I know the board can offer more than they're currently offering, and they should.

We chose this neighborhood to live in because of the excellent school district. I support the teachers, who have the most direct interactions and are most impressionable on our children, to be paid equal or higher to similar school districts in the Bay Area. There is no reason they should be paid less - ever. Please work through these issues and financially support are community teachers. Thank you.

We need our teachers as they are taking care of the kids who are the future of this country. Please be kind to them.

Teachers work too many undocumented hours to ignore their need for a raise.

Union School District has an opportunity to raise the bar on education in California, and that benefits everyone. Why would you not want the district you run to set a higher standard for kids in our state? Keep our school district strong by paying our teachers fairly (which, by the way, is still much less than they are worth.) It is the right thing to do!

It's staggering to me that our district is ranked at the top & the teacher pay is near the bottom. It makes no sense. I want my daughters education to be as good as it can be, I fear this situation will have negative results on our children's education. Considering this district is near the top in performance, it seems ridiculous that our teachers are not being taken care of, we aren't even asking for too pay, just fair pay based on results. Sad times.

To keep our teachers and schools great we need them to have at least a competitive salary. Stop the discrimination.

I went to Union School District as a child. I would hate for the next generation of students in the district to be denied the quality of education I received. Please invest in the district, invest in the resources, invest in the educators and most importantly, invest in the children. It is what is best for them and for our own futures.

My daughter goes to union school dist. It is one of the hidden gems in the bay area. Great schools and great teachers. The teachers should be treated well for all the hard work they put in. Please stop Unfair compensation..they should get all the good compensation and benefits.

Teaching should be one of the highest paid jobs, equal to or better than lawyers, doctors and engineers. Teachers work for everybody's future, there is no peace in retirement without well brought up children.
