No way they should let a person who took 3 lives get out on a work release program.....!!!!

This is an outrage!!! To allow someone to work-release and then successfully paroled makes me sick to my stomach!!! He killed not 1 but three! What are they (GEORGIA PAROLE OFFICERS) thinking? (Are these people voted in or are they appointed? - that's what we should be asking ourselves!!) - Candace Aziabou Charlotte, NC

I strongly oppose the release of the murderer from prison. He should never be allowed to walk free

This is absolutely unacceptable! No parole for Tankersley! A life sentence is a life sentence. These families will never see their loved ones again and it is not fair for a man that committed murder of 3 young men, should have freedom to be with his family. NO PAROLE!!!

Please do not release this murderer offender. Society is not safe with him on a work detail.... his sentence was two consecutive life sentences

I have been on the fence about this petition, but this just lost my vote. Retaliation is revenge, vengeance, repayment....it also means prison time for anyone who considers it, or even threatens is, which it yet another tragedy. Although I am very aware of ALL the details surrounding this case, and all the hurt it has caused I cannot be part of something that will reap "retaliation" if it doesn't go as expected. I would consider taking your comment down, there is no parole board in the US that will be swayed by people who are condoning violence, while condemning it on the other side. Premeditated retaliation/revenge is not something to be taken lightly.

My Grandmother is the Cousin Of William Franklin "Billy" Reeses' father...I was 14 years old when these 3 very young men's lives were taken,I am now 44,and through all these years,my heart hurts for the families that will always have an emptiness in their own hearts...Not only were their lives taken... but also the lives of the parents, the siblings, the cousins,Aunts,Uncles, and friends were forever tragically changed... I pray that the parole board will make the right decision, the only decision, that this man is not released into society... The loved ones of the three men whose lives were taken that day, will forever live hurting... this man should not live a life and experience the things that the three men's lives that he chose to take will never be able to experience...

3 young men's lives were taken. Murderer should never be released for killing them. Keep him where he belongs - in jail until he dies!

Jamie Edward Tankersley GDC ID: 517974 maliciously killed 3 innocent young men in cold blood on the fateful night of Oct. 10, 1987. I went to middle & high school with Billy & met his step brother Timmy through him. Billy & I were seniors but he never had the opportunity to walk across the stage much less receive a diploma. Experiencing something this tragic involving someone so close as a teenager is very traumatic. It has literally scarred me for life. Over the past 30 years I have thought about Billy, Timmy, & Ricky's malicious murders often as I'm sure I will continue to do so as long as I live. I pray for justice for the Reese, Harrell, & Lavarnway families by not allowing a lowlife, no good, pathetic excuse for a human to be released on a work detail or released ever. I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his miserable life.

The pain needs to stop! The families have never had real peace on this earth. The thought of this murderer being released back into society is inconceivable and unjustly. They should NEVER have to worry about this happening. Keep this person where he is. He made 3 choices to kill and steal. Let him pay for his sins! Society doesn't need another murderer walking the streets.

This monster deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison. Had he not out of ammunition there would have been more.Thumbs down to his release.
