As of mid January 2013, Topeka city leaders in partnership with waste management intend to enforce a new recycling program requiring all residents to pay an extra $4.00 each and every month, whether we opt in or not. As of right now, many of us enjoy the ability to recycle our own cans for a profit, while this new program gives us a forced loss in its place. This new program is nothing Less than more dirty/underhanded politics which will line the pockets of city leaders and waste management at the tax payers expense. It is our duty and obligation to each other to put a stop to their out of control stealing of our hard earned money, and let them know its time to back the he11 off. They are civil servants, not dictators.
