Stop Tollbar Traffic Lights
Surprised how little the Council listen to residents of Scartho, Waltham, New Waltham etc. One final point at the meeting was to urge everyone to rally round and write and/or email the Council leader Ray Oxby and the press (local / national) to reverse the decision. If parents of TollBar and as many residents could do it, it would create "noise" which may force the Council to rethink.
It was suggested that the junction work was linked to the planning proposal opposite the school (400 new homes) and without the new traffic light junction the housing couldn't go ahead.
Engie advised TollBar to prepare for a lot if noise and disruption. They plan to dig the width of the road 1-metre deep on Station Road each side of the junction to lay cabling. Just as the students are sitting GCSE's. This would completely close access to the junction from Station Road during the dig.
