I am against the Youth Offender Centre coming to Thornhill for a number of reasons and think the centre would be better suited as a childrens' home.

The local residents seem to be on the receiving end of too much ASB at present.

The original plans to use this as a children's home were well supported. What about using it for kids physio. There is no room in current facilities so you can never get appointments.

Use it for under privileged children but not Youth offenders. It would make a lovely children's home IF the covenant requires it to he used solely for children.

Keep our streets safe. Our children walk home from local schools and should be free from worry about risks of anti social behaviour towards them.

This is a poorly thought out proposal which serves the needs of the Council to use a white-elephant building, rather than the needs of the young offenders. Putting this centre in a residential estate where children play is a disaster waiting to happen.
