Totally oppose this , not a good investment for our city and the Mayor is pushing the agenda on the citizens of this town . Why have so many closed door meetings? It’s only going to increase our property taxes and increase our water bills ....and put money in the Mayors pocket

As a tax paying & voting citizen, I am vehemently AGAINST this underhanded action being taken by the mayor and his colleagues to take over Epcor water.
Residents of Edgewood can not and should not be forced to absorb the exhortabent cost of such a folly and against our expressed wishes!

Epcor serves more folks in Santa Fe and Torrance Counties than Edgewood residents. Even if the system is bought or taken that does not include the water right only the system to deliver the water? Who are the big water right holders in Edgewood that would benefit?

I cannot express how disappointed I am that John Bassett has decided to be just like most of our other mayors. It appears that what HE wants is all that matters and the citizens be damned. This is so reminiscent of the Campbell Ranch fiasco.

We too have a privately owned water system that is spring fed (1 of 2 cleanest water sources in the state of NM). What the mayor and others like minded are doing is wrong and should be stopped in its tracks.
