Why would a such a high pressure gas extension pipeline even be considered in a heavily populated residential (as well as commercial) area across from an active, blasting quarry? This makes no sense and could be incredibly dangerous.

The force and frequency of the blasts at the quarry concern us very much with regard to a potential high pressure gas line and metering station being sited across from the quarry entrance. We can feel the blasts strongly in our house several blocks away on Laurie Avenue.

As a Jamaica Plain resident, I am concerned about the safety of this pipeline and question the need for expansion of fossil-fuel based infrastructure to ensure a resilient and affordable energy source in New England.

I live near the quarry which actively blasts every week. How is it legal to install a high pressure line & a transfer station right across from it and in a high concentration population area when the gas company guidelines suggest rural low concentration area and no blasting zones within miles of the pipeline. The quarry is two hundred feet away.

With the Mass Dept. of Energy Resources studying if there's even a real NEED for pipelines, and mandates for more wind and solar, and with the peak demand times being just a few hours during the coldest weather, there is NO NEED for this project, the other Spectras OR the Kinder Morgans. Enough!

I live in West Roxbury and I am against this pipeline and pressure station. This is a location with many homes, three schools and a nursing home.

I am against building a high pressure station across from an very active Quarry. We do not need to keep building fossil fuel infrastructure ,we need to start promotion wind and solar.

Please ask for an independent risk assessment of this dangerous project. FERC is not independent as they are funded by the oil and gas industry.
