Stop the West Roxbury Lateral of the AIM Algonquin Extension Pipeline

I oppose the pipeline that they plan to install in West Roxbury.

I completely oppose this pipeline in any part of West Roxbury!

Any Fractured Gas Pipeline is unsafe due to its highly volitile state(PCBs, Radon levels, Methane levels etc.) This one has 750 psi of pressure and is located directly across from the actively blasting West Roxbury Crushed Stone Quarry.

Even if I were comfortable with a gas pipeline running through my community, Spectra Energy has not demonstrated itself to be a responsible company that cares about the communities it operates in.

I hope this means alternative, clean sources of energy will be found to replace the dangerous, dirty gas that would be pumped through this (extended) pipeline.

pipeline must be rerouted away from quarry.

Who in their right mind thinks it's a good idea to put this hazard in a thickly populated neighborhood around the corner from a school?

This is a disaster waiting to happen.

This has me very concerned for all of us who live in this area.

It was a couple of years ago when I moved to Grove Street in West Roxbury. I pass the quarry almost everyday and I walk in the area of the proposed pipeline continually. It took me a little while to become familiar with Grove Street, but it is now my home. During the warm months, I discovered many bird species in the area.. There is some natural woodland along Grove Street, a rare thing in a city. The plantlife is extraordinary along Grove Street where the woods extend down to the quarry. This spring I hear peeper frogs and wondered where they came from. I disovered small areas of wetland along Centre Street and within the grove of trees. Yes, this area has some precious wildlife, though my guess is that is of little concern to the pipeline proponents. Walking past the quarry on Grove, where it intersects with Centre, one can easily smell gas. I am not sure why that is; the spot is right near the 35 Bus Stop. But, despite destroying natural habitats of nature, the notion of placing this pipeline so close to a quarry and to homes that make up a well cared for neighborhood, is extremely discouraging. This pipeline has the potential to interrupt and disrupt a well cared for neighborhood. /wgeb

This proposed gas line is an area of the Grove St Crushed Stone Company which does blasting on a regular basis. .this equals a very real situation for potential danger with devastation of area homes and human lives..I consider this outrageous and unlawful

We must stop this plan!

I strongly oppose the high pressure gas pipeline that Spectra proposes to build along the active West Roxbury Crushed Stone Quarry.

Stop this poorly planned project. Now.
