Stop the "We don't serve your kind here" bill in Tennessee

Refusing to serve anyone is against my religion.

Discrimination at its finest

We are governed by both our conscience and the hard won civil rights laws in the United States. Bigotry is not Christian and can not be defended.

My wife and I owned a home in Tennessee for many years and loved it. However, this type of bill is very disturbing to me. Religous beliefs...b.s. If god made everyone, then who made gays? One other thing, my belief is Church's should pay taxes just like every other business.

Let's move Tennessee out of the dark ages.

It's okay to disagree with someone's beliefs. It's not okay to discriminate.

This is absurd and obscene. No different than segregated lunch counters in the 1960s.

Brian Kelsey and Bill Dunn should quit grandstanding to their bigoted, intolerant constituencies. They should know that, if passed, this legislation will be challenged in court and ultimately, nullified. There are SOME of us here in Tennessee who do not wanat to go back to the 1950's.

I do not agree with this lifestyle but I even more disagree with treating people wrongly and this is horrible. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with love and respect. IThis is plain crazy to to treat people like this.

This is absolutely disgusting. Cannot believe people would still adhere to this sort of mentality.

Tennessee is better than this.

I believe this bill poorly reflects the ideals, values, and morals of the state of Tennessee. I rather Tennessee be seen as a state that is welcoming, loving, and acceptancing of all individuals. I believe this bill is morally wrong and perpetuates the belief that is okay to treat someone with disrespect just because they are different.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

There used to be another "We don't serve your kind" issue in Tennessee and with the help and work of Dr. Martin Luther King and the great civil rights activists, it was eliminated. Now you want to take us back there, but with a different group of people. If this one passes, are you going to try and undo the work of Dr. King?

We'd be in the streets if someone said "sorry we don't serve blacks" or "sorry I don't rent to Christians". This is no different. Tennessee is better than this. No new Jim Crow laws!

Is attempting to legislate hate really the most important issue facing our state? We have to vote these types of reps. out of office. It's ridiculous and a waste of time and resources. I think these crazy bills that are introduced are for attention.

I will not stand for the discrimination outlined in this bill, Sen. Kelsey and Rep. Dunn. You do not represent me nor my interests. You are only demonstrating your own intolerance of other human beings.

Legalized discrimination in the name of God. Talk about taking the Lord's name in vain.
