This bill and the attitude behind it is despiscable. I would suggest that Mr Kelsey and those who support this bill reread the Gospels. Who were the people Jesus associated with? Who are we called to be like? Christian means "Christ-like" after all.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

As a teacher I see how marginalized these individuals are. It is not a choice and I believe God made us all. Please have mercy on these individuals. They already have a heavy cross to bear.

In what way does serving people who are different from you violate any of Jesus's teachings (since I'm assuming that the folks gunning for this identify as "good Christians"). Didn't Jesus say "whatsoever you do to the least of these?" Shoot, a law like this is both horrifyingly unAmerican (and after EVERYTHING in this country's history, really), and disgustingly hypocritical from folks calling themselves Christian.

This is awful! I am absolutely embarrassed that our state would even consider such a law! The Bible says that we are to love our neighbor. That means even if our neighbor is gay. You do not have to agree with someone's choices to stand up and be a Christian and accept them as human beings. I am horrified that anyone would claim this was a function of religious belief. Hate and disallowing people because of who they are is not what the Bible teaches us.

Nothing but a 21st century Jim Crow law. Time to stop this nonsense now!
