I’m not inside city limits, and can’t vote in city elections. I still have to abide by the city rules and pay taxes to them. Idk if my signature will count.ty

We moved here from Memphis, TN. The streetcar project there was proposed in 1994 and was touted as a business producer and talent attractor; however, the streetcar system was delayed numerous times, incurred substantial cost increases over estimates, was offline for 4 years for safety concerns and is still, even now, only operating 1 out of 3 routes. In late 2013, the electric system was taken offline and replaced with buses designed to look like the historic electric cars after a fire claimed one of the vintage fleet. The ensuing investigation prompted an overhaul of the entire electric system.
Most of the ridership consists of tourists and eventgoers for a monthly event, First Friday.

Regardless of what you tell us, this project will be taxpayer funded. Did we get to vote on this? No. Do we have a choice to pay for it? No. You are taxing people right out of their homes. This nonsense needs to stop.

Quit wasting our ultra high tax money on useless unneeded items such as the streetcar project. Listen to the taxpayers and not your special interests groups.

Streetcar systems are expensive, never self supporting and a long term burden on the taxpaying citizen! A complete boondoggle!
