The proposed streetcar / trolley is a risky and super expensive proposal…$300 million plus (a third of a billion dollars) for a three mile route. It serves only a limited population and is “cast in concrete” as Mr. Buffett has stayed in his opposition to this project.
Utilize an ORBT-style rubber tired transportation mode instead of a system that’s not changeable without expensive costs. The notion that this won’t cost the taxpayers, as proffered by the Mayor and others is a folly. Someone needs to say “no” to the corporate interests who are pushing this expensive proposal.
