The residents of Omaha will be paying this bill. Why not just have EV buses? The Orbit buses could serve the same purpose. I wonder how many people use the Orbit buses? They always seem empty, let's make them EV and save the taxpayers money.

The millions of dollars earmarked for the streetcar could be better spent by fixing the streets, increasing the budget for police and firefighters, providing low cost housing, etc. etc. Very few people will walk blocks from one of the new apartments to catch the streetcar. And, if it is free it will attract people who have no place to go and pretty soon fill up with those unfortunates just trying to stay warm.

Instead of wasting money on street car dpend more monet on buses and hiring more driver and make buses run more often and later make it where u can go everywhere in omaha

The majority of buses that I see are mostly empty. Why would anyone think this streetcar with a limited route would be profitable or able to break even. Looks like a waste of dollars in my opinion.
