I think all the new changes that are being made are ridiculous and completely unnecessary, why does MR.wakefield feel the need to change it so drastically? calls it 'cost effective' but having to constantly but new clothing doesn't seem to be saving anyone any money. Especially as he seems to be changing it every five minuets

Uniforms are supposed to be a 'leveller', so poorer students don't get picked on for not having the latest or most expensive clothes. Forcing people to buy from the same expensive place defeats the point!

This seems unnecessary, the cost of school not just uniform can be hard enough for parents already. If skirt lengths are a major issue then encourage the girls to wear back trousers instead. I won't be sending my child to my previous school in part because of their ridiculous uniform rules, please don't make plume the same!

Firstly, I dont agree with uniform in any situation unless it's part of PPE. That said, I accept this will not change at Plume. I am one of the people who attend parent voice meetings and can say we were only asked our opinion on style and colour, not whether a change was necessary. We were informed that students had been consulted and were favourable with the changes. I think the cost implications are the main issue. It was not mentioned at parent voice that the trousers and skirts would only be available from one shop. This is totally unacceptable.

I went to the plume 1989-1994 and the only difference in the uniform was years 7-10 were blue, year 11 was black. Uniforms are an expensive requirement. The uniform does its job - if it isn't broken, don't fix it!!!

Totally appalled that as a parent iam expected to pay out again for uniform perhaps uniform should be treated the same as work uniform and provided by the schools .

I hope this gets stopped how ridiculous, I have left the school 3 and half years ago and I would say I have a strong work ethic so their point is irrelevant

So weve had to buy for new uniform when our children started the Plume school and now we have to pay out for yet more uniform that is majorly expensive. If they drop the cost maybe but for nearly £17 for one pair of trousers is silly how are parents ment to afford it we dont all have endless pots of money!!!!!

Stop changing uniforms. Parents cannot afford this. It's a school not a Premiership club!

I accept the need for smartness, I do not accept the lack of consultation and the imposing of plain nasty skirts on already smart uniform abiding students. Is this the thin end of the wedge with new blazer logo and standardised school bags currently circulating the rumour mill?
