Why not tax the boats $10,00 per year. That will surely gt rid of them and then there will be no (so called) copper problem

If removing copper residue from the waterways is the goal, I don't see how imposing a ridiculous fee on boaters will solve the problem, other than line the pockets of bureaucrats.

I do not know much about boat paint, but I do know much about law making and taxing. More information needs to be gathered before a blanket tax gets put out on a yet to be approved paint.
