Stop the Tribal Trails & South Park Loop Connector Road

No connector road! It’s NOT an answer.

This has been planned for 15+ years and people are worried about property values. This road has been a planned thoroughfare for years. Grow up you all agreed to this when you bought your houses

During school pickup and dropoff times, traffic is already quite slowed in this area. Turning it into a major transportation route would be problematic on so many levels. And such a bad idea for keeping our children safe in school zones.

The Tribal Trail Connector represents poor transportation policy as it forces commuter traffic in to rural neighborhoods.

This connector is not sensible. It sends highway traffic into residential areas and schools. It's an environmental disaster.

The so-called Connector (it's a by-pass) will wreak havoc upon neighborhoods, undercut miles of conservation easements, and put residents, school children, and wildlife at risks. It will be Hwy 390 all over again.

The Tribal Trail connector should not be built or at the very least, tabled for now until more environmental studies are completed. It would absolutely have a negative impact on wildlife, wetlands and my neighborhood. The “convenience “ of getting from hwy 22 to the high school quicker just shows that the road would be used for conveniences of those living on the west bank rather than for any other use. The traffic impact of such measures would be overwhelming for the neighborhood and the adjacent school zone

26 year Teton County resident. The connector road will not solve any problems related to access, or Congestion, And disregards the safety of all the children who live and attend school in this area. Add to these facts the complete waste of money we don’t have and can utilize on other roads, bridges and road improvements. Thank you for your consideration.

The county's own traffic modeling analysis, presented in a public meeting on 1/30/19, demonstrated that the Tribal Trails Connector will: - increase overall traffic by 3,400 vehicles per day, substantially all on the already congested Hwy 22, at the already dangerous Coyote Canyon intersection. - reduce traffic at the "Y" by an unnoticeable amount - from 32,600 vehicles per day to 30,300. So for a net negative traffic impact, Teton County wants to spend $8-10mm of taxpayers' money and destroy a pristine meadow and iconic view toward the south end of the valley. There is no rational justification for this project, particularly since the the recent reconstruction of the "Y" has eliminated the congestion there (which was the original justification for Tribal Trails.)

This project is terribltyb dangerous to many of our town's children.

8.21.19 I am opposed to the Connector because of the increased traffic added to the school zone area, creating a safety hazard.

I am a homeowner in Indian Trails and have been a member of the community for 30 years. I do NOT support the Tribal Trails road connector!!

Keep the road as it is! It is not safe to open the road to thru traffic!!!!
