Closing off lands that were public in the past to all or limiting them is wrong. This is land grab with the continual argument that it's for the "environment". Other lands have already been set aside for that reason. This is a continual tactic to ban recreational use of public lands under a false guise of saving the "environment". The commissioners know this and use it for "political gain".

I dont support the selling of public land to developers. Especially without due process and from those who use it. This area of land brings us to this area and spend 1000s of dollars a year. I also dont support area closures and wilderness. Its hypocritical to make special use events jump though hoops to use an area and it be so threatened for a tortoise and the environment but yet is ok to develop it now??? Anyone in the area that can vote for anyone that has to do with this needs to vote the out of there positions. This is BLM land, all of our land, not just Nevadas.

This area has been one of the few large multiple use areas available for easy access since closing most other large areas. Historical use and potential overuse and urban sprawl should be considered.

I have been going to this area of desert all my life. I was thought how to ride a motorcycle and how to drive an off-road vehicle at the Jean dry lake bed. I am now teaching my kids the same in the very area that I was thought. This area is my home away from home. Please do not take this away from us land users.
