To the Stanford Town Board

We are neighbors of the Darling Mine, which

has proposed to expand to the area of the

south of the current mine property.  The

expansion area is currently used for

agriculture and the proposed comprehensive

plan calls for it to be maintained for

agricultural and residential purposes. 

We urge the Town Board to take immediate

action to impose a moratorium on any site

plan or special permit approval in the

expansion area and to proceed promptly

with the rezoning of the property to ban

industrial or mining uses.
