Before any decision that will significantly impact our taxes is reached, I believe all township residents deserve to see sufficient evidence, in writing (via mail) so they have time to carefully consider it, and then be able to vote on the matter. This affects all of us, so we should all have a say. Why is a new administrative/police building needed? What is wrong with the current facilities? And the idea of spending money on a recreational facilities building is absurd, given that the reasonably priced Jewish Community Center is less than 1.5 miles away from the proposed site, and there are numerous parks, etc., nearby. Our property taxes are already higher than other townships; significantly increasing them for this one project, for the NEXT 30 YEARS, without the residents' approval, is unacceptable.

Sell the property to a for profit entity that will create taxable income for the township. Remodel, expand the Tri-Hill site as needed.

Good questions Bob, I hope we get answers. Much seems secretive with these commissioners as their answers/findings were never made public they (commissioners) only said it was reviewed early on and turned down which instigated the process of moving towards the present road they chose to go down. Multiple residents brought these same questions up at the meetings and no conclusive tangible or documented account was produced since of those findings.

Thanks Bob for your comments, we ditto your feelings...we (the residents) along with the commissioners should be finding ways to generate tax revenue and invite opportunity to sensible solutions to this project other than bleeding the residents of their tax dollars and devaluation our property values. This is government run-a -muck. Shameful!

The township has many retired people living in homes they are trying to keep. The taxes that have greatly increased in past years are high at current levels without the added burden of this proposed project. This proposed project is too expensive, too expansive, has limited use and value to a limited portion of the township residents. The proposed tax burden is too high without a vote by the people.
Current facilities could have been renovated using the engineering money that has been spent.
We expect you to be fiscally responsible with our tax money.
The neighborhoods close to the city are under attack by thieves and burglars like never before. The police station would be too far away. We want the police station kept at Trihill. We want money spent on better police protection, not on this extravagant project.
Listen to the people.
This land should be used commercially to generate tax revenue to reduce our tax burden.

The needs of the township can be met for far less money. Why didn't the Building Committee publicly review Mr. Maust's evaluation of the cost to renovate existing properties and instead recommend new development at the Mt. Rose site?

Shouldn't this be a referendum for the residents to decide? My taxes have nearly tripled since we moved into the district in 1990.

I am against the 21 million dollar municipal building in Spring Garden Twp. There are more pressing needs.
